Neutron 5 Explained® provides a comprehensive guide to iZotope's Neutron 5 mixing suite. In this course, Eli Krantzberg walks through the interface, common controls, AI-assisted workflow, and every major processing module to help you understand how each tool functions within a mix. The training begins with an overview of the interface, IO panel, channel controls, limiter options, and the common controls shared across Neutron's modules, including the multiband crossover display and Delta audition feature. Next, the course explores Neutron Assistant, demonstrating how it analyzes a mix to generate an AI-assisted processing chain, along with working with custom reference targets and managing presets. Additional lessons examine the Gate, Density, Compressor, Phase, Sculptor, Equalizer, Masking Meter, Unmask, Transient Shaper, Exciter, and Clipper modules. You'll learn how each processor works, along with features such as dynamic EQ, sidechain processing, phase correction, harmonic enhancement, transient control, masking analysis, and stereo, Mid/Side, and transient/sustain clipping modes. By the end of the course, you'll understand how the various Neutron 5 modules can be combined into an effective mixing workflow.
