Scoring with MuseSounds

Learn how to bring your notation to life with MuseScore Studio and MuseSounds. This course introduces a modern scoring workflow built around realistic, expressive playback. You will learn how to install and set up MuseSounds, explore Core and Pro instrument libraries, assign sounds to your score, and manage instruments for clear, balanced results. Discover how MuseSounds responds to notation and how your writing choices affect playback. You will work with dynamics, articulations, expression, and phrasing to create more natural-sounding performances while avoiding common issues that can make programmed scores feel mechanical. Throughout the course, you will build a short scored piece from the ground up. Starting with instrument selection and an initial musical idea, you will develop the arrangement, add layers and textures, refine performance details, and optimize the final playback. By the end of the course, you will be able to create polished, expressive scores in MuseScore Studio and export high-quality audio ready to share.
