AREQ

AREQ is a 24-band parametric equalizer with eight filter shapes, cuts up to 96 dB per octave, per-band mid/side and left/right placement, a dynamic mode on every band, and an optional resonance suppressor that finds and holds down ringing frequencies on its own. It runs at zero latency by default, or in linear phase when phase accuracy matters more than latency.

AREQ is a 24-band parametric equalizer built for everything from broad tone shaping to precise corrective work. Each band can operate independently with eight filter shapes: BELL, LOW SHELF, HIGH SHELF, LOW CUT, HIGH CUT, NOTCH, BAND PASS, and TILT SHELF, with cut slopes ranging from 6 to 96 dB per octave. Every band can work statically or dynamically. Set a threshold and range to make a filter respond only when the signal requires it, reducing problem frequencies when they appear without permanently changing the tone. Bands can also be positioned independently in stereo, mid, side, left, or right, allowing detailed control of different parts of the stereo image. An optional resonance suppressor automatically identifies and controls ringing frequencies across the spectrum. It works alongside your manual EQ bands, with adjustable detail by region and a stricter mode for more decisive suppression. AREQ runs at zero latency in minimum phase mode for tracking and mixing, or can switch to linear phase when preserving phase relationships is more important than latency. A spectrum analyser provides pre, post, and delta views, while per-band solo lets you isolate exactly what each filter is affecting.

What AREQ offers

24 Fully Independent Bands: Shape the spectrum with BELL, shelves, cuts, NOTCH, BAND PASS, and TILT filters, with slopes up to 96 dB/octave
Dynamic EQ on Every Band: Add threshold and range controls so individual bands respond only when the material requires processing
Per-Band Stereo Placement: Process stereo, mid, side, left, or right independently on any EQ band
Automatic Resonance Suppression: Detect and control ringing frequencies across the spectrum while working alongside your manual EQ bands
Minimum & Linear Phase Modes: Use zero-latency minimum phase processing for tracking and mixing or linear phase for phase-sensitive applications
Detailed Analysis & Monitoring: Compare pre, post, and delta spectrum views, solo individual bands, and switch between two complete states with A/B comparison
