Producing Future House

“Producing Future House” walks through the process of creating a Future House track from the ground up. In this course, Timothy Allan demonstrates the production techniques used to build, arrange, and mix a complete track. The course is shown in Logic Pro X, though the production concepts can be applied more broadly. The training begins with setting up a song template and configuring the session before moving into drum production. You'll learn how to build drum tracks, convert audio-based drum loops to MIDI for further editing, and apply MIDI editing techniques to shape and humanize the drum parts. Next, the course explores melody creation, including designing a gritty top-end synth and a sub-layer bass lead. Timothy then demonstrates how to create lead riffs and riff grooves using these sounds, along with entering musical parts using one-finger chords. The second half of the course focuses on arranging and production techniques, including effects processing, sidechaining, dynamics automation, and building transitions. You'll also learn methods for creating hi-hat and snare variations to add movement throughout the arrangement. The series concludes with mixing, including playback evaluation, mix refinement, and applying master bus effects to the finished production.
