Every band can be a bell, a low or high shelf, a notch, or a high or low pass with slopes up to 96 dB per octave. Double-click the graph to add a band, drag a node to set its frequency and gain, and scroll over it to change the width. Double-click a node to type exact values, note names included, and use SOLO to hear just the region a band works on, so you can find a problem by ear. Turn on DYN for a bell or shelf and it listens to its own part of the spectrum, so a dynamic bell at 6 kHz on a vocal reacts to the s sounds and not to the low notes. Set how far it may cut or lift and how fast it moves, and watch the curve move as it works. In the AU and VST3 versions a dynamic band can follow an external sidechain instead, so a kick can dip the bass just where the two fight. The analyzer draws the music under the curve, before the EQ, after it or both at once, and you can freeze it to work against a still picture. The Options menu adds a mono-maker that centers the low end below a corner you choose, Auto gain so louder never wins a comparison, Proportional Q for console-style bells, and a curve range as tight as 3 dB for mastering moves. Bevel runs at zero latency by default, so it suits tracking, and 2x or 4x oversampling keeps bells and shelves near the top of the range closer to their intended shape for a small delay that it reports to your DAW. Two A/B slots, undo and redo, and nine factory presets, including Vocal Presence and a dynamic De-Ess, sit alongside the presets you save. AU, VST3 and AAX on macOS; VST3 and AAX on Windows. Installs and updates through MuseHub, with no license key. Requires macOS 10.15 or later on Intel or macOS 11 or later on Apple silicon, or Windows 10 or later, 64-bit.
