ARSAT

Four saturation characters with oversampling, auto gain, tone shaping, and parallel blending.

Platforms
macOSWindows
Release Date

ARSAT combines four distinct saturation characters in one plugin, ranging from gentle peak rounding to hard clipping. Choose TAPE for a smooth symmetric knee, TUBE for even-harmonic warmth, DIODE for harder asymmetric saturation, or FUZZ for outright clipping. Each mode uses a different transfer curve, changing the character of the distortion rather than simply increasing its intensity. A live transfer-curve display shows the actual shaping function and highlights how much of the curve your signal is hitting. Oversampling up to 32× helps prevent generated harmonics from folding back into the audible range, while AUTO GAIN compensates for increases in level as DRIVE is raised. TONE tilts the spectrum before saturation to control which frequencies drive the processor hardest, while MIX blends the processed and dry signals for parallel saturation. ARSAT also provides exact reported latency at every oversampling setting, a flat passband to 20 kHz, and bit-exact bypass.

What ARSAT offers

Four Saturation Characters: TAPE, TUBE, DIODE, and FUZZ provide distinct transfer curves from gentle saturation to hard clipping
Up to 32× Oversampling: Keeps generated harmonics below Nyquist to reduce audible aliasing
Automatic Gain Compensation: Maintains output level as DRIVE increases for more reliable comparisons
Live Transfer Curve: Visualizes the current shaping function and the input range your signal is hitting
Pre-Saturation Tone Control: Tilt the spectrum to determine which frequencies drive the saturation hardest
Parallel Mix Control: Blend saturated and dry signals to retain clean transients while adding harmonic colour
