“Serum Tips & Tricks” explores creative techniques for getting more from Xfer Serum. In this course, Serum psycho Adam Pollard (Multiplier) demonstrates practical approaches to sound design, modulation, and programming designed to expand your understanding of Serum's wavetable synthesis capabilities. The training begins with an introduction to wavetable synthesis in Serum, followed by a look at building presets from scratch with an emphasis on modulation. You'll then learn techniques such as creating stereo width by panning the filter and using the Filter Module's Drive control to generate distortion. The remainder of the course presents a collection of creative sound design techniques, including filter modulation, exploration of Serum's parameters, adding variation with the Chaos oscillators, and using aftertouch and velocity sensitivity to create more expressive patches. Each lesson focuses on a specific technique that can be incorporated into your own Serum programming workflow.
