features and functionality of the older version are no longer there. play/pause forward/reverse no longer work as they did and now there is a start up and stop delay latency. It does look more professional but you can no longer hide everything to get a compact view. It works closer to a DAW than audacity.

It looks better but I have to reassign shortcuts every time I start a new project. And then sometimes the shortcut still doesn't work. Even the basic Backspace or DEL key won't work consistently. I also hate how when I press play, the header starts where I previously placed it instead of where I stopped the playback. All this does is make my workflow inefficient. It's a much more beautiful editor, but I've always hated Audacity for its functionality and it's still dysfunctional after 25 years. I guess you get what you pay for.

We understand how frustrating it can be when shortcuts don’t behave consistently, especially when they interrupt your workflow. The shortcut issue you mentioned is a known problem and has already been logged with our team for investigation: https://github.com/audacity/audacity/issues/11903 Regarding playback, the current behavior is intentional, although we understand it may not be immediately obvious. Audacity has two different ways to stop or pause playback: -Space stops playback and returns the play cursor to where playback started. -Shift + Space pauses playback in place, keeping the cursor where you paused. I love the new UI, it is a huge improvement. I understand that some features are going to be rolled out in future updates. Until then, it is unusable for my purposes. So sticking to 3 for now.

I like this software but i can't simultaneously change pitch and speed
one of the reasons that I used Audacity as semi-main app is how lightweight it was, and didn't have disk issues and crashes, im producing a podcast episode first time ever with version 4 and im getting little frustrated, mainly because for some reason the shortcuts are not responding well (unless I go to the shortcut options and reassign them to the same shortcut then it works). I will continue using it but plase… YOU MUST HAVE FEEDBACK BUTTON, so we don't have to limit our words here
