NIVIEM Filter SH is a component-level emulation of the 1974 Maestro FSH-1 / Oberheim VCF-200 — the pioneering filter sample-and-hold pedal designed by Tom Oberheim. The plugin reproduces every block of the original schematic: the asymmetric integration capacitors of the state-variable filter (C3 = 1 nF / C5 = 30 nF, the 30:1 ratio defining the FSH-1's gentle phase taper at high Q), the LM741 triangle-wave LFO, the avalanche-noise sample/hold circuit modelled with a Box-Muller Gaussian PRNG, and the per-OTA tanh saturation. Three operating modes: Filter (LFO-swept cutoff with five waveforms), Sample/Hold (the iconic 1970s "computer bleeps"), and Envelope (Niviem Mu-Tron III-style auto-wah extension). Five filter types (LP / BP / HP / Notch / Peak), authentic Leslie 122 rotating-cabinet stage (Direct / Subtle / Full), continuous 2-mic stereo placement with Spread + Angle, host tempo sync (7 note divisions), four oversampling depths (Off / Eco 2× / Standard 4× / High 8×). 41 factory presets across six categories. ADAA-1 anti-aliasing throughout. Built-in 60-entry Nivipedia encyclopedia.

What Filter S/H offers

TPT-discretised SVF modelling the original 30:1 C3/C5 capacitor ratio that defines the FSH-1's gentle phase taper at high Q, plus frequency-dependent Q reduction matching the natural bandwidth limit of the CA3080 OTAs above 1 kHz.
Authentic — per-integrator Newton-Raphson nonlinear ZDF, both OTAs saturate independently with feedback through the resonance loop, harmonically richer at high resonance, schematic-faithful. Smooth — lumps the multi-stage hardware nonlinearity into a single tanh at the SVF input over 2× internal halfband upsampler — lighter CPU, vintage-warm character.
Filter (LFO-swept cutoff — the canonical auto-wah voice with five waveforms), Sample/Hold (avalanche-noise stepped voltages, the iconic FSH-1 "bubble"), and Envelope (Niviem creative addition — Mu-Tron III-style auto-wah driven by input dynamics with Sensitivity + Attack continuous knobs).
Lowpass (the only output the original hardware exposed), Bandpass, Highpass, Notch, Peak — modern additions step-crossfaded for click-free type changes. LFO waveforms: Triangle (authentic 1974), Sine, Square, Sawtooth, Random.
Direct (bit-identical bypass), Rotating Subtle (bandpass pre-emphasis + 35% AM tremolo), Rotating Full (bandpass + 65% AM + dynamic two-pole low-pass + Doppler horn pitch wobble). Plus continuous 2-mic stereo placement with Spread + Angle controls.
Host tempo sync (7 note divisions, 1/16 to 4 Bars), four oversampling depths up to 8× with click-free dual-path crossfade, 41 factory presets calibrated for level consistency, 60-entry Nivipedia encyclopedia, premium WebView UI with full keyboard navigation.
