Piano Fingering Studio

An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later, or a Windows PC running a 64-bit version of Windows 10 or later; MuseScore Studio 4.7.5 (installed separately); and a MuseHub account. PFS includes its own fingering engine, so no separate Python installation is needed. Windows installation requires administrator permission.

Yes! You can try every feature free for 3 days. After the trial, a one-time purchase gives you continued access to the current major version. There's no subscription, and future major versions may be sold separately.

Nothing happens to your score! All existing fingerings stay in place as editable MuseScore notation. You can continue editing, saving, and exporting your music normally. Generating new fingerings and using Smart Fingering Paste require a valid PFS license.

Not by default. PFS preserves your existing manual fingerings and styling when generating new suggestions. Smart Fingering Paste also protects manual edits and recorded deletions. You can explicitly choose to replace conflicting fingerings when needed.

Copy fingerings from one passage and paste them into another compatible passage in the same score. The note counts, voices, and chord structures must correspond, but pitches can differ. PFS alerts you to rhythm differences and protects existing manual fingerings by default. Some complex notation may require manual handling.

PFS processes your music locally on your computer. MuseHub handles licensing and updates. For help, use "Send feedback" in PFS or email hello@xylea.org. Scores, local files, and logs aren't automatically attached to feedback; you choose what to share.
