In this series, Kenny Gioia breaks down both foundational and advanced panning techniques used to create width, clarity, and spatial balance in a mix. The course begins with core panning concepts and an explanation of pan laws, including how to configure them properly in your DAW. You’ll also examine frequency and sound localization, along with creative panning effects such as auto-pan, rotating speakers, and automation-based movement. Further lessons demonstrate how to create stereo from mono sources, simulate doubling using delays and shifted tracks, and manage potential comb filtering and phase issues.
