Previews

Under the hood, Reverie runs 37 native DSP modules: Dreamtime (our extended evolution of the Paulstretch algorithm), spectral freeze, shimmer reverb, granular processing, spectral cross-synthesis and more. 21 styles and 20 curated factory presets cover everything from soft floating drones to cathedral-scale textures, and the Pro Chain Builder lets you compose your own effect chain, reorder modules, tweak every parameter and save your chains as custom presets. Bring in a file, drag two handles across the waveform to stretch only the part you want, shape it with a low cut and a high cut, then render. Layer Mode plays several results at once, so a session can become a mix. Built for ambient musicians, game composers, sound designers, film editors and content creators who need original, royalty-free ambient material. Input: WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, M4A, AIFF Export: WAV, FLAC, OGG, AIFF at 16 or 24-bit Seed-based reproducibility for byte-identical renders Renders up to 30 minutes Runs on macOS 13 (Ventura) and later, Apple Silicon and Intel

What’s new

  • Layer Mode: play several results at once. Switch it on in the session list and each play button adds a texture on top of what is already playing, with a "3 layers · Stop all" bar to keep track. Off by default, remembered between launches.
  • Choose the part that gets stretched: drag two handles across the waveform and only that region feeds the engine. It plays back as you set it, so you hear the edges before you render.
  • Source filter: a low cut and a high cut on the input sample, heard in real time before rendering.
  • Loop switch on every result, on by default. A clear button unloads the current file.
  • Engine v0.6.2: brightness now follows the source instead of adding highs that were never there, a master low-cut removes sub-bass rumble, the stereo image stays centred, tape saturation keeps the bass tight, and the final mastering stage is a soft peak limiter, so DNA Splice and the other spectral presets no longer come out much quieter than the rest. Spectral Freeze normalization corrected.
  • Fixed: rendering could freeze on macOS 26; the export dialog on macOS 13 could save without the file extension; the source preview now plays multichannel files and survives audio interruptions; a memory error in the spectral analysis stage.
  • Seeds saved in 1.13 still restore the same chain and settings, but because the mastering changed they will not render byte-identical audio. Files already exported are untouched.
  • Runs on macOS 13 (Ventura) and later, Apple Silicon and Intel.
