Parametric Compressor
Add compression exactly where you need it
A six-band compressor with saturation wired into it. Drive the detectors only and the bands grab like a slower vintage unit while your audio stays clean, saturate the bands audibly and the compressor squeezes the harmonics with the signal, or excite the summed mix on the way out. Six bands that sum flat within half a dB.
Saturation that shapes the compressor.

Harmonic Multiband Compressor splits your sound into six frequency bands and compresses each one on its own, with saturation before compression and after the bands recombine. Drag the five crossover points to set where the bands divide, or type exact frequencies. Each band gets its own threshold, ratio, attack, release and range, plus an RMS or Peak detector. Push peaks down or lift quiet detail up, solo a band to hear it alone, then blend the result with the original and trim the output. Saturation is built in at three places. In DET ONLY, IN DRIVE feeds only the detectors, the part that decides how much to compress, so compression gets smoother with nothing added to what you hear. In AUDIBLE, it saturates every band before compression. After the bands recombine, OUT EXCITER blends harmonics into the mix and matches its own level. Leave oversampling and lookahead off for zero added latency, or oversample the audible saturation 2x or 4x and add up to 10 ms of lookahead. With two A/B states, Link All to move every band together, and gain reduction drawn in color on the spectrum, you can fix one part of the sound at a time.
