Gooey's de-esser is a faithful plug-in to do the work for you by taming harsh consonants. It works by filtering and compressing. The first step is to place the right controls in the proper place. This can be achieved by first dialing in the frequency control, then leveling the threshold control, and then monitoring the visualizer to adjust peak tension. We have placed a lot of energy into making this work how you'd expect it to with a minimal design and a functional processing unit.
