Harmonic Multiband Compressor
Saturation that shapes the compressor.
X1 Exciter adds clarity, presence, punch, and air without relying on a simple EQ boost. Use it subtly to make vocals, drums, guitars, and full mixes feel more open and defined - or push it harder for a brighter, more energetic sound.

Add Clarity, Presence, and Detail
Sometimes a sound doesn’t need to be louder or brighter. It needs more information in the right place. EQ can raise frequencies that already exist, but if a vocal lacks presence, a bass disappears on smaller speakers, or a dark instrument needs more definition, simply boosting the top end can also bring up noise, harshness, or frequencies you didn’t want to emphasize. X1 Exciter takes a different approach. Instead of applying a broad brightness boost, X1 lets you choose the part of the source that will generate new harmonic content. Set the Frequency and Width to focus the exciter on a specific region, then use Drive and Amount to determine how strongly that material is transformed. The result can be anything from a subtle layer of detail to a much more obvious increase in presence, bite, and harmonic character. This frequency-focused approach makes X1 useful for much more than adding “air.” On vocals, it can bring out presence and detail. On guitars, piano, and acoustic instruments, it can add definition without relying entirely on EQ. On drums, it can emphasize snap and attack. On bass, exciting lower source frequencies can create upper harmonics that help the instrument translate more clearly on smaller playback systems. Character changes the shape of the harmonic generation, moving from smoother, warmer coloration toward a more aggressive edge. Mix lets you blend the enhancement with the original signal, while Output provides final level matching. The interactive spectrum display shows the selected processing range and makes it easy to move or resize the band directly in the display, so you can quickly target the part of the source that produces the most useful harmonics. X1 also includes 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x oversampling, allowing you to balance CPU usage against cleaner nonlinear processing when using stronger Drive and Amount settings. Use X1 subtly to add the final bit of polish to a vocal, instrument, mix bus, or master, or push it harder when a sound needs more energy and character. The goal is not simply to make a source brighter. It is to create useful harmonic detail where the mix needs it.
