“Tech House Production Explained®” walks through the complete process of creating a Tech House track from the ground up. In this course, Larry Holcombe demonstrates the techniques used to build, arrange, mix, and master a finished production while exploring the core elements of the genre. The training begins with analyzing a kick sample using an oscilloscope before building the rhythm section with claps, hi-hats, rides, and percussion. You'll then explore working with loops, including chopping them with Cableguys ShaperBox 3 and incorporating additional percussion to develop the groove. Next, Larry designs a bass sound from scratch using Xfer Records' Serum synthesizer and layers it with an additional flanged percussive element. The course also covers importing a vocal sample with the Bridge plugin from Splice and matching its tempo and key to the track. Additional lessons focus on arranging the production, adding lead parts and effects, creating transitions with risers and snare rolls, and completing the project with mixing and mastering techniques.
