Parametric Compressor

Parametric Compressor is a frequency-selective dynamics processor that lets you place compression exactly where you need it in the spectrum without dividing the entire signal into fixed crossover bands. Create up to 10 independent compressor bands, each with its own frequency, width, threshold, ratio, attack, release, and makeup controls. Bands can be narrow and surgical or expanded across a much wider range, making the plugin useful for everything from focused frequency control to broad tonal shaping and full-spectrum compression. Unlike a traditional multiband compressor, the bands are not locked into adjacent crossover regions. They can overlap freely, allowing different compression settings to act on the same or neighboring frequency areas. This makes it possible to control specific resonances, manage low-end movement, shape vocal presence, tame aggressive mids, or add dynamic control exactly where the mix needs it. Each band can respond to the main signal, an external sidechain, or both, with additional control over whether detection is based on the full signal or the selected frequency range. This makes Parametric Compressor useful for detailed mixing, creative sidechain processing, mastering, and complex dynamics work that would otherwise require several processors.
