It runs on SADIE2 HRTF binaural rendering, so producers, engineers and sound designers can work that way with nothing more than a pair of headphones. 3D Panner is available now for Windows and macOS.

3D Panner lets you place a sound not just left and right, but all the way around you: 360 degrees, above and below. It uses HRTF binaural rendering, which means the height and the depth actually come through on ordinary headphones, with no surround speakers and no treated room.
