Denoiser Reviews
Tried the plug in with a short vocal only book. It sounded like someone had chopped the vocals into little pieces! Tried again and set it on "light"- same thing. Certainly couldn't trust it for real projects and for $99? No way!
Downloaded pluggin to trial and it did absolutely nothing. I kept turning it up and down, and on and off and the track just stayed the same.

I wanted to see trial first, and all install completed. there is even no instruction how to use the tool.. I want to import 1 file to see performance. but it was not possible..
Partner Response: After install, you will be able to use it either as a standalone tool, or as a VST/AU plugin inside your DAW. The simplest way is to just use the standalone tool - just launch "Denoiser" from your Applications folder on Mac or the start menu on Windows. The tool lets you drop a file, or choose one via the "open file" button. It will analyze it, and afterwards you can listen to the result and adjust the strength. The plugin works similarly. All you need to do is add it to a track, open the plugin, and play the track for a few seconds. The plugin window will show an "analyzing" state for a few seconds, and after that, it will show the noise profile it analyzed, together with a spectrum visualisation of the audio before and after denoising. You can adjust the strength slider to your liking. If you watch the plugin window closely as you continue playing or rendering your track, you will see that the detected noise profile changes over time. That's because it dynamically adapts to your audio file. I hope you give it another try. I'd love to learn in a bit more detail what you found confusing when using the denoiser, so if you want to give me a bit more feedback, feel free to reach out at thomas@tape.it.
I just could not get this plugin to work. I went through all of the install instructions and used the wizard to install everything. The free trial does not work. The app did not allow me to use it giving me a DRM error saying that I did not have the proper license. With the free trial. I went ahead and paid for the plugin because I needed a good denoise plugin and it turns out that it is expensive and does not actually do any type of noise reduction. Every track I tested it with ended up sounding exactly the same no matter the settings I used in the plugin. In addition to this plugin not reducing noise it also broke my audacity install and I had to re-install audacity becuase the software DRM on the plugin would not let audacity start. Overall I am very dissapointed in this plugin. If you are reading this just save yourself the trouble and use the DeNoise plugin that comes with Adobe audition or Premiere pro if either of those are available to you.
Partner Response: Hi there, thanks for letting us know. Our team has not been able to reproduce this issue on our end, but we are looking into it further. Theoretically it takes out the background noise. Added it to a vocal-speaking track and, humorously enough, it actually AMPLIFIED background noise and made it WORSE. I played with the settings of it, but I couldn't find a setting that didn't ruin the track. On top of that, I'm trying to cancel my trial and I'm having to go through customer service to do so. Kinda shady. Wouldn't recommend.
Partner Response: Developer here. Sorry to hear that it didn't work on your track. I'm a bit surprised by what you describe as amplifying noise - internally, Denoiser works with a multiband expander, which means it can only lower the volume of certain frequency bands, it cannot make them louder. It is of course possible that it changed the signal in a way that it sounded worse for you afterwards - for example, if it only removed high frequency noise, you can start hearing bass noise more clearly, even though it was already present before. Would you be happy to share the recording with me you were trying to denoise? That would help me a lot in understanding why it didn't work for you. You can just mail it to me at thomas@tape.it. As for the trial process: this is all handled by MuseHub, and the same as for any other plugin on MuseHub. You certainly shouldn't have had to contact customer service to cancel it. Again, feel free to reach out to me if you want to explain your experience in more detail so we can figure out where the roadblocks were and improve it for other users.
