ARDELAY

ARDELAY

ARDELAY runs two independent delay lines with their own times, feeding each other in stereo, ping pong or mid/side. What happens inside the feedback loop is up to you: clean, tape, bucket-brigade or lo-fi, each pushed as far as DRIVE takes it. The echo timeline across the top is not a decoration — the pale bars are where each repeat can reach, the solid ones are what is playing right now, and you can drag them to set the time. 02

Release Date

ARDELAY is a tempo-synced stereo delay built around two independent delay lines. Set the left and right channels freely from 1 ms to 4 seconds or lock them to note divisions, then LINK and OFFSET the timings for fast stereo variations. Four characters shape the sound inside the feedback loop. CLEAN keeps repeats transparent, TAPE adds progressive saturation and softness, BBD introduces noise and bandwidth loss, and LO-FI increases degradation with every pass. LOW CUT, HIGH CUT, DRIVE, DIFFUSE, and modulation provide further control over how the echoes evolve. Choose STEREO, PING PONG, or MID/SIDE routing to control how repeats move across the image, with WIDTH extending the spread up to 150%. DUCKING lowers echoes while the dry signal is present, while FREEZE captures the current delay buffer and sustains it indefinitely. A live timeline shows where each repeat lands and lets you drag the delay times directly. DELAY SOLO isolates the wet signal for editing, while 16 factory presets provide starting points for vocals, drums, guitars, dub effects, and more.
