Overall, these samples are great. The piccolo, flute, and clarinet is on the softer side, but I am alright with that (I rarely write for piccolo, but I might change that). The oboes are great, but the English Horn could use some life in it. The cor anglais sounds dull, thin, bright, and a little to harsh for my liking. The clarinets are solid BUT, the contrabass clarinet NEEDS some work. The articulations are very sloppy, especially as you descend. The low C is nonexistent, which had me bummed. The tone is also rather thin, which adds a bright tone quality that I don't want for a low clarinet. If the contrabass clarinet gets fixed, I would be glad because I love the depth of sound from it. The same could be said for the cor anglais; a darker, fuller tone and taking the harsh edge off would be great.
