Bevel EQ

Bevel EQ

Bevel EQ is a dynamic EQ plugin with up to 24 bands on a live spectrum display. Cut a vocal resonance, clear low-mid buildup or add a broad lift, and let dynamic bands act only when the signal crosses their threshold. Bands can target stereo, left, right, mid or side.

Bevel EQ is an equalizer, the tool that turns specific frequency ranges up or down, and it opens empty so you add only the bands you need. Double-click the curve to add a band, set its frequency, and boost or cut by up to 30 dB on shapes with gain. Any of the 24 band slots can be a bell, a shelf, a notch, a high pass or a low pass, working on the whole stereo image, one channel, the middle or the sides. Solo a band to hear the region it covers, or make a bell or shelf dynamic so it moves only when the music needs it. The display draws the sound going in and coming out together, so you watch the after trace drop away from the before trace, and hovering names the frequency and nearest note. The spectrum is drawn by the interface, not the audio engine, so it costs nothing in your audio path. The default Quality setting, Zero Latency, adds no delay, so Bevel can sit anywhere in a chain, with 2x and 4x settings available. Nine factory presets, two A/B slots and auto-gain let you compare fairly and hear what you changed.

What Bevel EQ offers

24 freeform bands: bell, shelf, notch, high pass or low pass in any slot, no fixed layout
Dynamic bells and shelves with a signed ±24 dB range that duck or lift on their own region
Per-band placement in Stereo, Left, Right, Mid or Side, plus a 24 dB/oct mono-maker
Filter slopes from 12 to 96 dB/oct, with gain of ±30 dB and Q from 0.1 to 40 per band
Analyzer draws pre and post spectra together under the curve, with freeze and peak hold
Zero latency by default, 2x or 4x oversampling, click-free edits, A/B, undo and redo

What’s new

  • Dynamic bells and shelves can now react to another track: right-click the band, choose Dynamic source, then External sidechain, and route a track to Bevel's sidechain input (VST3 and AU; the AAX version keeps its previous layout). Internal stays the default, so existing sessions and presets sound exactly as before. The editor now redraws band curves from a cache, so it does less work while the analyzer runs.
