Recursion is a self-mutating delay that transforms every echo into the starting point for the next. Unlike a conventional delay that simply repeats the original signal, Recursion continuously reshapes its own history, creating evolving echoes, unstable spaces, smeared textures, and unpredictable recursive patterns. Each generation inherits the changes made to the one before it. Timing drifts, echoes smear together, and sudden Tear events introduce abrupt mutations that carry through subsequent repeats. Independent controls for recursive depth, memory spacing, and decay time let you shape how these transformations develop. At subtle settings, Recursion creates animated echoes, unusual doubling, and shifting spatial effects. Increase the recursive depth, drift, and decay to build complex chains of interacting echoes, gradually transforming the original sound into evolving washes and increasingly abstract textures. Behavior Note: Recursion is intentionally less predictable than a conventional delay. At higher Mix settings, the delayed signal increasingly replaces the original attack, which may make short sounds seem quieter. A Mix setting around 50% is recommended when preserving the original attack is important. Recursive processing can also introduce occasional abrupt transients or crackle-like textures, particularly with sustained sounds, aggressive settings, or parameter changes. These behaviors are part of Recursion's intentionally unstable character.
