The group strings sound nice, you have plenty of playback options as well, from nonvib to sul tasto, ponticello and even col legno. You can add a fair bit of color to your works with this.
If I had something to add, it'd be that the glissando is a bit... Well, it doesn't really work, to be honest. I'd love to see that in a future update, string legato is one of my favorites

The sections sound pretty good, exept for some parts on second Violins, and solo Instruments sound not quite as good as the should, but definitely better than the standard ones, fix that and it would be pretty much perfect.

Another cool upgrade this could use is to have proper tremolos on double (and multi-Note) Stops work correctly.

The sound quality, particularly in the piano/piano-forte range sound terrible. A very noticeable "buzz" sound occurs, which a recording quality issue. Not only that, but you can here things such as someone dropping a pin in the recording when at piano or piano-piano. Dynamics are crazy and must be edited in the mixer. The legato isn't very noticeable. The solo strings, however, sound pretty good and the legato is pronounced. A solo contrabass might be a good future update. Though the soloists sound a little strange, I've been able to implement them pretty regularly with detail.
I used to think they sounded awful, like they were doubled, but that bug can be fixed by adding the "mute" performance direction to the score... dunno why. After doing so they sound alright.
The violins, especially the solo ones, sound like trumpets bought on Temu and played by a 2-year-old elephant… What a disappointement: the previous MuseStrings were a lot better. Please improve them.
Doesn’t sound anything like a violin. More like someone playing on a saw
Good ensemble performance, while solo needs some improvement (especially both violin I and II solo which sound really weird). And, yes, a more aggressive play option is welcome.
If this pack had an option for strings to play a little more aggressively, it'd be perfect
All seems to be well. The Violin does sound a bit strange, but leaps better than the MS Sounds Violin. It sounds much better in full sections than in solos. If you frequently compose using string-sections, this is a must.
The sound is weird. i feel like its different from previous update but i couldn't pin point what's different.
bad solo strings
I LOVE Muse sounds and the idea of having free great sounds is amazing, but I feel they have been made worse. It seems that now you guys can charge people, you are making them sound worse. I hope this is not the mistake, as I LOVE Musescore and use it for writting soundtracks that might one day be my source of income. I have a project coming up that needs beautiful string melodies, but now that legato sucks, I don’t know what to do! I have no budget, and I wish I had never updated the strings. I don’t want to stop using Muse Sounds, but if you don’t do something about this issue, I just might have to. I’m sure many other people feel the same way, so please, unless you don’t want people to trust you and maybe decide on their own to buy products, you should stop making these stupid mistakes.
it’s really dissapointing that now muse score has become a profitable app they’re downgrading the sound quality of their free stuff to make you buy thier new string libraries like spitfire, berlin etc. Before muse hub became what it was I loved the muse string library. It was better than most of my paid string libraries. But ever since I updated it and muse hub has become bigger, The sound quality has gone down tremendously. I have audio recordings of when I used to use muse strings compared to how it sounds now and you can really hear the difference (even though an updated version USUALLY means its better sound quality). If you’re new to muse strings, you won’t really notice unless you’ve been using it for a while but they’re slowly just making the quality worse and worse. It’s just sad
The Muse Strings library needs a lot of improvements. First, the solo strings sound as if two people are playing together. I also need a way to remove the vibrato and glissando to make them suitable for fiddle music (Celtic, Bluegrass, Old-time, etc.) Like many users mentioned before, the solo double bass is missing for bands of different types.
It sounded good but I updated it and I feel like it sounds worse
Downloaded MuseHub files (organ and strings) fail to work on existing MuseScore 4.4.4 files, but work splendidly on newly created files after download. Sound icon does not appear on any previous work.
The working version of Muse Strings uninstalled itself from my drive.
As I try to reinstall it over Muse Hub, the download keeps stopping at under 10%.
How can you fuck up an app so bad?
Nothing works anymore! Trying to add notes via the alt + number command instantly crashes the app.
But I guess now you can profit off the app that used to be free and working fine huh?
Greedy pigs.
Downloaded, but can’t get my Musescore to play these sounds. Downloaded Brass and Woodwinds at the same time and they play just fine.
Works and sounds great!
Lovely sound
aside from some minor problems, this is better than some of the paid versions; I would recommend getting the paid version of solo insrumens for the winds.
Honestly i really prefer the base soundpack that musescore can give
When a certain rhythm is played fast (such as eigth-sixteenth-sixteenth) for two measures, there is a considerable delay compared to the other instruments during playback.
There may be other rhythms for which this issue occurs, but I have not found any.
