Muse Strings Reviews
The Muse Strings library needs a lot of improvements. First, the solo strings do not sound natural. In pieces where notes are sustained for long periods of time, I hear a cut in the sound, probably refering to a change in bow stroke, which shouldn't be there. The strings have to sustain the note by using slower, longer strokes in order for the sound to be pleasing to the ear. Like many users mentioned before, the solo double bass is missing for bands of different types.
It sounded good but I updated it and I feel like it sounds worse
Downloaded MuseHub files (organ and strings) fail to work on existing MuseScore 4.4.4 files, but work splendidly on newly created files after download. Sound icon does not appear on any previous work.
The working version of Muse Strings uninstalled itself from my drive. As I try to reinstall it over Muse Hub, the download keeps stopping at under 10%. How can you fuck up an app so bad? Nothing works anymore! Trying to add notes via the alt + number command instantly crashes the app. But I guess now you can profit off the app that used to be free and working fine huh? Greedy pigs.
Downloaded, but can’t get my Musescore to play these sounds. Downloaded Brass and Woodwinds at the same time and they play just fine.
Works and sounds great!
Lovely sound
aside from some minor problems, this is better than some of the paid versions; I would recommend getting the paid version of solo insrumens for the winds.
Honestly i really prefer the base soundpack that musescore can give
When a certain rhythm is played fast (such as eigth-sixteenth-sixteenth) for two measures, there is a considerable delay compared to the other instruments during playback. There may be other rhythms for which this issue occurs, but I have not found any.
I've used it almost for every track I've made, but there are some things that could be improved, like the Glissando. And It would be great to have a solo contrabass.
The pizz sound is very aggressive and Bartok sounding on random notes. Doesn't sound like pizzicato
there is random bartók pizz even when i dont need them
random pizz in string section…despite I don’t need them
"There is a bug in the new update where you hear the pizzicato sound along with the regular string sound."
just like rorycraigcomposer!!!!!!! Always pizz!!!!!
Not sure what's happened, but the default articulation for any note entered is now Bartok pizzicato instead of arco! I've tried changing the articulation using sound flags but to no avail. This also happens with other sound libraries such as CineStrings. It also applies to both the solo and ensemble libraries. I've tried restarting the app and even my computer but still, nothing has changed. Have you guys made a mistake with the Muse sampler somewhere?
The sounds are good, but there are some problems with pizzicato sound in group strings. Pizzicato sounds sharp and clappy as if the string was pulled hard. I hope you will fix it
portamento on solo strings ruins string quartet. I gess this is the way they have to make you pay for well done products, since this issue would fail any basic test..
Every note is played glissando in the solo violins and it doesn't sound good
So far pizzicatos are great, except when putting a staccato to pizz cello and contrabass but it still vibrates is bugging me. There is also an issue the contrabass pizz is too quiet to be used for big band music since contrabass is used for that type of music as well.
Violin 1 (Section & Solo) is too loud Viola (Section & Solo) is too quiet Too much portamento on solo instruments No Contrabass (Solo)
The balance between Violin 1 and everything else needs to be edited so they're more equal.
