I like this, but there are some instruments that are missing that'd probably contribute: The Eb Clarinet sound only goes down to a written E4 for an Alto Clarinet, which sucks because I'd like to be able to write for the full range of an Alto Clarinet. The family of recorders are not on here, and it'd be a great improvement to add them.
Tenor sax and the other woodwinds I have tried sound great but the alto sax is just terrible. This is also the instrument I need the most.
Many of my projects are symphonic band pieces. The Vienna packs don't cover Saxophones, so I use this musesound instead. No matter what I change in the mixer, forte is louder than the whole band and piano is completely invisible. Maybe not just on this pack, but all packs and instruments should have the ability to change the volume at all dynamic levels. It makes no sense to have two parts that are playing the exact same melody at the same volume to have two different dynamics written down.

Overall this is amazing, and SO much better than MS Basic sounds! I write jazz music, and I think the saxophones could be a bit more balanced, but they are still great and definitely worth it. Thanks Muse Group!
It seems as if the most recent update, which claims to have "improved timing," has indubitably done the complete and utter opposite, most notably with the B-flat clarinet. I was unaware that this was an issue in the first place! But now, it seems like the instrument itself has lost the ability to play clean sixteenth-note runs without swinging like jazz gaggleslop. It should be requested that any changes to timing be reversed. Thank you
Unlike every paid library here this one is free and has the best sounds especially legato phrases which sound amazing, something that apparently 60$ libraries can't do
For the most part, the clarinet is better sounding that it has been before. Tone quality is better, but there are moments where it randomly gets quiet and doesn’t follow dynamic markings. I’ve had to mess around with everything I can with Muse Woodwinds, but nothing will fix this. Even putting louder dynamic markings won’t fix this and makes the phrasing sound off. It is very irritating.
Has plenty of instrument and variations. (add contrabass sax and clarinet pls!!!) They sound great. Dynamics are great, maybe a bit louder on the louds and that's about it. It's great.
In general, a great pack. I have issues with the saxophones, though. In many cases they are so realistic, that they make “beginner mistakes”. - For example, the middle D on soprano sax is severely out of tune in many dynamics. Realistic (unfortunately), but not something I really want to emulate in my MIDI-playback. - Similar for some of the lower notes, specifically on tenor and alto sax. They take a while to sound: they first hit an overtone and only then the low note. A beginner player may sound like this, but again, are we aiming to emulate a beginner saxophone player? - Finally, the alto sax has a tendency to overuse bends in louder dynamics (as I like to call it: full Kenny G-mode). In classical works this sounds totally inappropriate.

following what dmitrishostakovich said, the inclusion of many parts of the flute family is arguably way more exotic than clarinet family members, like alto clarinet/basset horn and contrabass clarinet. it feels natural to have those in the woodwinds group. otherwise, these woodwind sounds are magnificent, and for being free is genuinely a steal.
You know, this sound pack is really good and all, but with the bass and contrabass flute, which are really exotic woodwinds in my opinion, you should've added a contrabass clarinet to it. It would make a really good addition to my scores. Thank you! :)
Overall the sound is nice, but my staccato quavers are excessively tongued on alto sax and clarinet - almost slap-tongued, and they go a bit flat. On flute, they come out with this weird sort of breathy flourish. It’s a bit much.

These sounds are waaay better than the default MS midi. However, I am missing my alto, greatbass, and contrabass clarinets, which is kinda sad (I'd still recommend it though)
Really amazing for free sounds
All the sounds that this plugin has to offer are utterly perfect. My only problem is that the music pack lacks the sound of a contrabass clarinet, as sound that I have been eagerly searching for.

I've used it before and it's great, but for some reason it doesn't show up as an option in the mixer, even though I own it according to both Musehub and Chrome.
A good ensemble; the woodwinds alone will make you a lovely score - if you don't mind doing a lot of work (playing with the mixer, adding tons of unecessary notations…), because the woodwinds have zero personality by default, so give them one! And don't forget: it's free, so don't complain too hard...
