Solo string versions slide around so much it barely sounds like the realy notes and ends up being dissonant with the rest of the parts. Sections are so blurry and airy. I honestly thing this needs an insane amount of refining and redoing.

Sounds Live Strings and sounds real but sometimes if there's a note changes it became cut a little and play again I wish there is more Sampled Live Orchestral Strings including pop and Jazz as well and dynamics as well looks soft and suddenly loud make the strings more modulate and Real Recorded Live Strings Thank you.

Better than the inbuilt string sounds in general, with one notable exception: Slurred expressions are interpreted as glissandi between all the notes. That's not what the slur means on a stringed instrument and it sounds awful; makes a beautiful violin melody sound like it is being sung by a miaowing cat. I tried deactivating the "play" property on the slurs, to see if that helps, but it doesn't. Switching to "classic phrasing, ordinary" helps a bit, but not completely. I've had to switch to a different sound that does not suffer from this problem.

i installed the package and at first I was very happy about the sound improvements, but I noticed some chords sounded odd and some notes didnt sound the same on the real piano so I checked it with my tuner and while both were tuned to round about A=442 the sound was off nearly a quartertone at same other notes. Also i noticed the solo cello doing a weird accent on the end of notes

The lowerstrings (cello and double bass) sound great in both arco and pizz. although it is a pity that there's no solo double bass. The viola are buy default very quiet but luckely this can easily be changed throuhg the mixer. I do not like the violins wich often result in me not using the violins very often. Pizz. does sound good thouhg.

The recent updates have ruined it completely.

No solo contrabass, weird glisses in the parts, instrument don't respect the score… Very unprofessional!

Once upon a time, we had solo contrabass. This was a lovely option to use for jazz works for a traditional 20th Century sound. For several updates, it has seemed to vanish. Please try to work on restoring a minor yet impactful piece of this pack, thank you.

Thank you Muse Group! Something I love about this pack is the real string sound that I've never found in anything else that's free. I would appreciate it if the random glissandos can be fixed.

Ok so yeah I like this soundfont, it's very symphonic, but from my experience, this doesn't work very well with soloists. There's just random glissandos if there's two notes next to eachother, and personally that doesn't really work that well for the music, so if MuseSounds could update some of that to add glisses only if there's a slur ty or smth to make it better

there are weird glisses in the parts and it just sounds kind of terrible. this doesn't match the description at all!! bruh im so mad i cant compose with this at all!!!!! i think even MC basic strings is better than this... at least to listen to :(((((((((((((

There are weird slides between the notes, and dynamics hardly work. But hey, it's free for a reason, right? (for the utmost terrible user experience)

They removed my older comment but every upodate the Muse strings have gotten worse and worse. maybe to encourage you to buy their paid strings. But thats no way to push that. I see a comment saying they prefer MUSE STRINGS BASIC?!! that’s how low in quality these strings have become. Compared to when they first released muse strings it sounded absolutely beautiful. To something this synthesized. i’ll never update this again.

there are so much unnatural vibrato and the glissandos are in places that shouldn’t be there. Maybe there is a way to fix this, but currently, I prefer the basic sounds on Muscore sudio better.

the normal nots and slurs sound exactly the smaae, litaraly no difference, this makes it very difficult to compose anything serrious

The solo instruments sometimes sound like multiple instruments. Also, when playing fast pieces, the realism may be in some cases worse than the MS Basic sound library, because of the uneven accenting and balance. The viola solo sounds like it is playing on the bridge, without a hallmark warm and mellow sound. I hope this may get fixed in the next update. Thanks

The violas are WAY too quiet even when the mixer volume is at 12! Also I would like a solo contrabass soundfont if possible!

happy-penguin243

Would really love to have a low B0 sound on the bass since it is pretty prevalent in modern times, even if players may take it up an octave it would be helpful to hear what it could sound like.

Has anyone else noticed that the violas in Muse Strings are at a lower volume compared to other strings instruments. Another issue is the volume of the pizzicato; it drops even more, even when using dynamics like forte, it sounds like a piano. I've attached a sample here: https://musescore.org/en/node/370547

The strings themselves provide great quality. Although, the violas when arranging for full orchestra/string orchestra, they tend to feel sometimes they are not there. Otherwise sound is great and it really feels like you are writing for these instruments.

Wish there would be a solo Double bass, not only the quatuor... Also it would be great if it played that much legato only for phrase marks
