Dune 3 Explained®

Dune 3 Explained® provides a complete introduction to Synapse Dune 3. In this course, Larry Holcombe guides you through the synthesizer's interface, signal flow, sound engines, and modulation system before demonstrating practical sound design techniques. The training begins with an overview of the interface, including loading and saving presets and understanding the synth's overall architecture. You'll then explore the oscillators, including noise and unison functions, along with Wavetable Mode and FM Mode for expanding your sound design options. Next, the course covers Sample Playback, including waveform redrawing and looping, as well as ring modulation for creating sound effects. You'll also examine the filter section, Differential Unison Engine, and the Wavetable Editor to understand their sound-shaping capabilities. Additional lessons explore the LFOs, MSEG (multi-stage envelope generator), Mod Matrix, arpeggiator, and FX buses. The course concludes with creating three original sounds from scratch using the techniques covered throughout the series.
