The sounds are generally great overall, but it could benefit from some adjusted dynamic range and accents playing back properly (on the field drum and military snare, for example — there the accents don't really do anything).

Great selection, just wish the marimba sound range was more than a 4.0 so I could write some low As Bbs and Bs. This is a real bummer for me since I bought this sound pack specifically for percussion ensemble and marching front ensemble arranging and the lack of a full 5 octaves of range - much less the standard 4.3 - on the marimba is very close to a deal breaker for me, especially since the rest of the marimba sounds so good in this pack. It'd be incredible if they could update this sound pack with the rest of the marimba's low end!
The xylophone in this instrument set has a tinny sound, which is very common in cartoons and nursery rhymes. The xylophone, vibraphone and glockenspiel have hard and soft mallets. These can be set by the user. If the Flextone staff text is not set in advance, the sound generation is usually random, which is not very fixed but very cute. There are also some common sound effects in life such as car horns and birds. Most of the instruments and sounds are very good, but they are very expensive. On the surface, there are more than 100 instruments, but in fact there are 112 instruments, including: Agogo Angklung Apple Box Bass Drum 28in Bass Drum 36in Bell Tree Blown Bottle Bohdran Bolts and Nails Bongos Boot Stomps Bottle Caps Bowed Cymbals Bowed Gongs Brake Drum Bucket Piano Buckets Cajon Car Horns Castanets Celeste Chain Hits Claps and Snaps Claves Computer Clicks Concert Toms Congas Cowbell Cricket Crotales Cuica Cymbals Daff Djembe Djujn Djun Doumbek Drum Kit Ensemble Crashes Ensemble Metal Hits Ethnic Chimes Ethnic Shakers Field Drum Finger Cymbals Flexatone Flower Pots Frame Drums Glass Marimba Glockenspiel Gong Drum Gong Guiro Hot Rods Jaw Bone Log Drum Mahler Hammer Marimba MarkTree Metal Hits Military Snare Monkey Stick Monster Low Hits Monster Swooshes Ocean Drum Octobans Oil Drum Piatti Piccolo Snare Popcorn Snare Puilli Sticks Ensemble Puilli Sticks Rainsticks Ratchet Rikh Rototoms Samba Whistles Sand Blocks Shakers Shime Daikos Singing Bowls Slapstick Sleigh Bells Snare Drum Spring Drum Springs Surdos Taikos Talking Drum Tambourika Tambourines Temple Blocks Tickies Timbales Timpani Tines Tongue Drum Triangle Tubular Bells Typewriter Udu Vibraphone Vibraslap Washboard Water Jars Water Jugs Waterphone Whale Drum Whistles Windchimes Wood Blocks Wooden Cricket Xylophone
It is good sound to use this for Orchestral Songs
if you prefer quantity over quality, this is great. altough it could use a bit more instruments and fixing some playback/engraving mistakes. i just beg yall to add a suspended cymbal roll and to be more consistent with engraving
The MuseHub update released Aril 17 2025 fixes the issue that was preventing users from downloading this library. It should now be safe to purchase.
after you purchase it, go back to muse hub, select library. Find where CinePerc is trying to download. You will see a pause button but perhaps no progress on download. Hit the pause button, it will tell you cant pause it. Click ok. and then repeat the hitting the pause button, and the okay button series and eventually you will see progress at some point. If it locks up downloading again, just hit the pause button and okay button until it starts downloading again. This worked for me.
forte piano only seems to work if you use a 32nd tremolo. Suspended cymbal is disappointing. There is a ton of instruments that sound great, some I have not even heard of! The only thing it is missing is other cymbals, like china and splash.
the sus cymbal rolls still dont work. please fix this ts rly pmo pls fix ts. I would really love to use the suspeneded cymbal in this pack instead of the basic musesounds one. I am begging, please fix the suspended cymbal rolls.
I love this pack by all means. It’s great. However, there’s no suspended cymbal rolls, and the bass drum sizes only show up as one when i open it in the sound library. Other than that, Great pack!
Great sounding library! Really grateful to finally have a detailed drum kit to play with. Only concern I have is that there’s no actual cross-stick sound with the kit, there’s only a rim-click (which has its uses, but def limits the kit just a tad.) Also some dynamic variances in the bass drum are tricky to play with, but over all fantastic!
Great selection of instruments and sounds. My only critique would be the lack of a suspended cymbal.
All the sounds are great! Unfortunately the drums have a tremolo problem. Only the 3 slash tremolo works as the 1 and 3 slashes sound very robotic and cracks the audio. But I if I want to tremolo a tied note over multiple bars, the hit restarts every measure. Only the trill with the long wavy line does I what I want it to sound but then it doesn't look efficient on the score.
Huge selection of instruments, amazing samples with variety. Some sounds might be slightly too strong, but thats a personal opinion.
This is quite a collection. I just did a short comparison of various MuseSound perc. instruments vs. the CinePerc samples. On the whole I prefer the CinePerc sounds. The Snare drum is way more defined than the free MS snare. The Bass Drum is huge (maybe a bit too huge...you may have to eq it in your mix). The triangle sounds great, with great clarity even on a quick 32nd note roll, which does not sound great with MS. Overall, a good library, IMO.
So many instruments , very inspiring , thank You Cinesamples !!!
