Description

CinePiano is a modern and stunningly beautiful 9’ concert grand piano sampled by hand at the MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. The goal was to record a detailed piano library at the same scoring stage as Cinesamples’ flagship CineOrch libraries for seamless integration and blend.

They messed up badly on the dynamics, if you value your hard earned money, do not buy this.

A bit disappointed to be completely honest, ff sound is harsh and pp/p sounds like the strings are covered in a towel.

The extreme dynamics are really solid, namely pp and f. The transition between mf and f is quite unpleasant in the tests I've put to it, and the sound sometimes doesn't register correctly when certain notes are played at certain dynamics. It's like a glorified version of the MuseSounds Grand Piano. Still pretty good.

Marcato

Played this back on Rach 2 and the dynamics, while very good on their own, it's very jarring doing crescendos or decrescendos. Still nice though!

The missing link in some orchestral collections, but Cinesamples have a nice piano !!!
