MuseScore Studio Reviews

This is the greatest thing to happen to musical notation since the idea of sheet music.

Nothing to say. Absolutely excellent

This app is the best notation app to have ever existed

I am a fan of simple software, with a friendly UI, just as many :) This one nails it.

Congratulations for the new update! In case Sibelius falls, I hope MuseScore can absorbe on its own way Sibelius's workflow. Also, I hope that MuseScore Studio keeps growing along. I also owe it to StaffPad (which I still use as well) for my introduction to the Muse Sounds as well, and I hope that a Jazz & Big Band library should be added someday.

glitched and won’t download through musehub, had to direct download musescore studio from the website selecting the option: “without without using musehub”

no funciona no funciona nada

I've been using Musescore for years and it always worked well, but this last update to 4 was an absolute miss. I haven't been able to use it since. I can open it, start a score and playback old scores, but that's about it. Unfortunately reverting back did not proof an option, all my scores have changed to 4 and aren't backwards compatible. Do not download unless you own a very new PC, otherwise choose older downloads and leave this one untouched.

I've been composing on this software quite a while and I could confirm that this is one of the best notation apps out there, it is really comfortable and easy to use, with a huge range of tools available to use. Although it has some bugs, but overall it's really good.

at the beginning was Good, you got plenty options for free, but every upadate comes with bugs of any type, sound, lagging, crashes, etc. At this point, i can't even use it, im looking for other options, even if it cost me

I've tried Sibelius and Finale's trial versions... which are apparently fully equipped software environments. I found myself wondering why they couldn't have had some of the functions that musescore implemented in this program able to be accessed with the same level of ease. when trying those out, I found myself constantly in a forum or a support page attempting to locate something I was looking for to put into my scores... With MS4, I've almost always been able to figure out what to do/where to go in the interface to perform a specific action. without fail. I've used MS3&4 on and off since about 2016. More recently this year (2024), I've used it extensively for symphony orchestral scores, of 25+ parts. It's handled these flawlessly, for the most part. And the fact that the realistic playback is pre-set as integrated to the application is just that much better compared to the others, where MIDI is the only playback available, out the box. I'd highly recommend giving it a go. You have nothing to lose! its free!

have made a couple simple pieces, very and really recommending it!
